Clara Brugada, Head of Government of Mexico City, announced that necessary actions will be initiated to ensure the safety of citizens. Meanwhile, the Collective Transportation System Metro is conducting inspections at its facilities as part of safety protocols.
The community on social media shared videos of the moment the seismic alert sounded and of the earthquake itself, which was felt in several points of the capital. Despite the scare, no serious damage or injuries have been reported so far due to the tremor.
